Scripture Matthew 18:1-5`

Unless you change and become like little children you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Observation

Become like little children in the sense of powerlessness and dependence on God.

Application

Often this passage is interpreted as being like innocence, but perhaps it is more about our need to admit that we are not in control, but actually dependant on God.

Prayer

Lord, I am fully dependant on you for all that I have, starting with life itself. Help me to always remember this with gratitude and remembering it give back to you what you have given to me, recognising that all that I am and all that I have is a gift from you.
