1 John 4:19

We are to love,

because God loved us first.

Anyone who says, ‘I love God’,

and hates his brother,

is a liar,

Observation

To love God is to love people, we can't love God if we do not also love those He loves.

Application

Some people are harder for me to love than others, but God loves them all and expects me to as well. Even those who offend or attack me. Enemies, friends, family and just people I randomly meet. Perhaps I don't have to like them, but I definitely do have to love them.

Prayer

Help me Lord to love people as you do. I know I can never love as perfectly as you do, but help me to be as loving as I possibly can. Amen.
